Today’s my 13th day in my new working environ.
They have a culture of having staff assembly here once a month, to enhance camaraderie, I think.
Made us do a silly dance, warm-up, kononnya….
Aduh… if they want us to dance, show us a preview of the movements first la… At least, we’ll get a rough idea ma.
Do u think we can follow just like that?
Teaching Junior Music Course kids must also give preview ler… Else, how will they be able to do the rhythm step?

And to give us briefing as well as intro new staff to the whole ‘family’ and celebrate the babies of the month’s birthday with a simple Happy Birthday to You, You are Born in the Zoo ( I just can’t stop myself from this.. hehehe) song and cake cutting ceremony.
So, being new, naturally I have to go up and introduce myself.
Everyting was in Mandarin, even the briefing. I could only understand less than half of it. Pity the Malay colleagues who could just stare at the screen, ternganga mulutnya… Abang, tutup mulutnya, nanti masuk lalat!
HAHAHA (can’t help not inserting this…. we used to tease our classmate like this too )
Oops, got side-tracked again…

One by one they got onto the stage, to the gal before me.
The so-called MC pronounced her name and even made a silly comment on it.
How insensitive, damn it!
I could foresee my name being tangled in a mouthful of incomprehensive syllables by that woman ( Actually, I would love to use another equivalent for ‘woman’, starting with the letter "B"   :-P   **wink wink**)
True enough, Madam Smart-A** simply pronounced it without even making the effort to ‘try’ at all. APATHY again???
Damn..
My nervousness made way for anger as I strode to the front.
I had to re-say my name cause that woman made it sound as if I am an alien of somesort.

What I am irritated is, not because she made a fool of herself (that’s HER problem) by saying both Eva’s and my name wrongly, but the fact that she did not make any effort in asking anyone or even us for the proper ‘phonics’, no effort at all on her part!
And, the fact that she made silly comments on how long are our names, this and that. Insensitive B*tch….
No apologies at all - just shows the level of her tactfulness & insensitivity or perhaps, which doubles up as APATHY…
Eva and I really feel insulted with the way she handled this.

I say, if you can’t read a person’s name, just apologize and say something more diplomatic, intelligible and sensible lah…

By the way, I hate it when my "Anne" (with a silent ‘e’) is read in Bahasa Baku.
"Annie’ her head lah!
How insulting!
Just wait till I spank her "fanny" for that!
DAMN….
And if she’d pronounced my "Shuit Har" as "Sweet Heart", that’d sound just fine.
Instead, I dunno what the H*ll she said, as I was already rolling my eyes at the ceiling, trying to turn my snarl into a smile….

Annie her head lah…. Fanny woman…. Fanny B*tch… Whip the B*tch’s fanny till it bleeds…. (hey, it ryhmes… B*tch & bleeds)
